You may recall that when John Brennan was being considered for CIA Director a bunch of us crazy, unhinged, character assassinating activists strongly opposed his appointment causing ( he said ) his altruistic withdrawal of his name for consideration. We thought he just might act as a “strong opponent” of torture by pulling crap like this:
